It is strange, when I got accepted to USM I was excited about coming here, and now a little more than midway through the semester I am wishing I had chosen different. All my classes are huge, my professors wouldn't know who I am from the next guy, and above that most of the other students here have little to no interest in making aquaintence even; everyone just goes to class, get in their cars and leave campus.

I miss the hours of sitting yapping to my professors back at SMCC. Maybe this is just a phase, but I hope it is not going to become the status quo for my remaining two years. University is supposed to be the most academic and socially important time of one's life, and this place thus far is not fitting the bill.

I am doing well in all my classes, nothing has changed in that. It just sucks being nobody.

Well so much for a peaceful weekend at home. I didn't go to Rhode Island, and instead stayed home. The 1997 Eagle Vision died on Friday, its transmission damaged beyond repair. So I spent the weekend looking for a new car for Jen. My inlaws and I spent Saturday visiting car after car, only not to find the one that would suit the need. Anyway this morning we found one, A 1998 Ford Taurus LX; but it isn't good enough. Its low milage, good on gas, but it doesnt have all the gizmos and gagets that Jen needs or wants. So anyway, I am the proud new owner of a Ford Taurus LX. And Jen is going to have the Intrepid from here on.

Nothing like a physics exam at 8:45am to get the blood pumping! Sure, but when you get a call from your wife that your other car is on the side of the road over a puddle of transmission fluid, it tends to be more like heart exploding. Anyway, thanks to Ma helping out Jen I got to my exam ontime, only to endure an hour of equations and algebra.

In other news some dope tried to smuggle drugs in an Elmo doll. So, I wonder how hard Elmo laughs with a few bags of coke packed away? Maybe this is how they got him to make that rediculous laugh to begin with. No wonder people were trampling each other to get this super toy a few years ago.

Anyway, tomarrow night I am off to Rhode Island, or at least I think I am. Going to drop in and see Laura while I am there, maybe get a bit of a look at URI.

Ok, I was browsing one the message boards I haunt and I found this:

Cloak of Invisibility

If scientists are able to perfect this "cloaking device" I will be the the first in line to buy one. However, as I thought about the implications of such a device, I came to the conclusion it could work against me, spite my marvel for the technology itself. I picture myself, driving down I-295 from Portland to Brunswick, at 77 miles per hour, and looking in my rear view mirror as a cop decloaks behind me. Wouldn't that just suck?

Anyway, I am using my livejournal again, hopefully I can stick with it this time. :)
